Bald Eagle

I went to Alaska
because I wanted
to see our bird

When I got there,
the first thing I did
was explore

I found a river
full of salmon
and a fishing Grizzly

I slowly walked away
and found a moose
with her clan

I continued walking
and I saw a
beautiful tree

I've never seen
a tree so beautiful
and big

I took out my camera
and took four pictures
one of each section and a full body

It was then
I saw her
at the top

She just looked so
magestic
sitting there

She was watching for prey
and she took flight
and caught a fish out of the lake

She took it
back to the tree
and ate peacfully

When she finished,
she took off
and I watched until she was no more

Then I went back
to my cabin
and thought

I thought about her
and what she did
and everything

I couldn't even think straight
because her memory was speechless
in my mind

I just sat there
and admired the magestic
bald eagle in my mind
