I wonder if someday I’ll fall in love,
So I could write songs of white swans and doves.
A palpating heart that’s not through caffeine,
Chance to remember affectionate dreams.
A fluttering stomach not caused by gas,
Chance to recapture that first kiss in class.
A lovers moan and sigh, not exhaustion
And a lovers blind stare, not tedium.
How have I dreamt to be in love for this,
A smile that’s all mine, a soft touch, a kiss.
I wonder if someday I’ll fall in love,
So I could write songs of white swans and doves.
