I'm a mom!
Well, soon to be.
There's a little one
dancing about.
You cannot see her face just yet,
but I know she's in there.
I can feel her sitting on my bladder
(a favorite spot for sure!)
Her hands already reach out and up.
(is she poking my spleen??)
Her heart beats within me,
(and really fast too!)
I can't wait until she is out of my tummy,
and into my arms.
Oh Look!
A foot!
or is it a hand?
Pressing against the wall of flesh,
almost pounding,
or kicking.
How much more can my skin take?
(or my vital organs, for that matter)
I'm beginning to fear,
that a scene from that movie,
will play out right here,
where the alien pops right though...
You wouldn't do that,
now would you?
I can't reach my feet,
which are all swollen.
It's time to come out,
little one.
It's time to face the world,
wrapped up in a blanket of cotton,
instead of a blanket of skin.
I can't wait to see you,
and hold you in my arms.
But most of all,
I can't wait to go for half an hour
without a bathroom trip!
