At least I can see,
No longer do I have to pay a fee,
To see what you really are,
To see with my own eyes,
All of your damn lies,
All of those lies,
At least I can see you,
At least I can feel you,
At least I know what you are,
At least I can see you,
At least I can feel you,
At least I know what you really are,
You were the air within my lungs,
I’d speak to you in many tongues,
Languages only you and I knew,
But in your heart you were untrue,
If only you knew,
If only you knew,
At least I can see you,
At least I can feel you,
At least I know what you are,
At least I can see you,
At least I can feel you,
At least I know what you really are,
Was it to much to ask,
For you not to lie or deceit,
Why hide behind that mask,
Why leave me so incomplete,
And why were you so sweet,
Why were you like that to me,
Why couldn’t I see,
Why couldn’t I see you,
At least I can see you,
But it kills me to know,
At least I can feel you,
But it kills me to know,
At least I know what you are,
But it kills me to know,
At least I can see you,
But it kills me to know,
At least I can feel you,
But it kills me to know,
At least I know what you really are,
And it kills me to know.
Author notes
This is my first poem in a few mouths... I know it's not great but I'm just glad that my writers-block seems to be over, lol.
Please tell me what you think
