I sit in despair, not dead, not alive.
In a world of shadows, madness, and chaos.
All the earth's pain, resides in my chest.
Angst in a heart which has been broken,
Anguished, and tortured each day that keeps passing.
Existing only to hunt those carrying the evil;
The debts of my sorrows,
The maker of all pain.
There will be no peace until I am done.
I can go on, knowing that I have killed.
I can stay here lost in this fog.
I will keep walking for those who deserve,
A life without pain; a pain as my own.
As unvanquishable as I am, one thing I cannot do
Is walk this world, so cold with your absence.
You were the soul that fed me life,
And without you now, for me to hold onto,
There is no living, and there is no dying.
(I will love you, dear Shelly, at all costs to mankind.)

Oh, I love this write. I absolutly love that movie and I saw it just a week or so ago and it inspired a write from me. It's good at doing that. Brandon Lee was an awesome guy its just a shame that he never really had a chance to show what he could really do. Very nicely done on this one.

I spoke to Ernie Hudson a little while after that on the set of "The Substitute" Ernie was a cool guy, and we spoke mainly of Brandon Lee.
The crow has not found me in life, but I will await him in death. For I too, have a vengence which desperately needs unleashing...alive or dead...they will feel my wrath!

Brandon Lee...The Crow. This movie is the ultimate payback film of all time! Your tribute to Brandon and his life is so beautiful. This is the best poem defining a movie that I have ever read. I love it so much!!!
Peace,
Azlyn

OMG i am going to have a hard time judging this contest. -
A most beautiful and at the same time haunting write. I loved it. I think the lines "I sit in despair, not dead, not alive.
In a world of shadows, madness, and chaos.
All the earth's pain, resides in my chest.
Angst in a heart which has been broken,
Anguished, and tortured each day that keeps passing." Really add depth to this write. Good luck to you in the contest.

Yes, I love this poem. -Adds to bookmarks-. It's a truley amazing write. I love how you start out with not dead, not alive and end with there is no living and there is no dying. It all just goes so well together. I love the way you made me feel the pain, the hurt, and the agony in this poem. I really was able to get into this poem and think it completly through. Great job!
Murderous Lament -
Haunting, yet beautiful. I am glad you did a dedication to Brandon Lee in such a way. That made this poem all the more enjoyable. I really did love the imagery and the way the words were weaved. Awesome way to tell the tale of a movie without mentioning or giving away that it is a movie. Beautiful work, and keep it up!

This is beautiful! The last line was perfect, totally perfect. I think that this is an exquisite tribute to Brandon Lee, a amazing actor, and a life cut far too short. You wrote this wonderfully, I really enjoyed reading it. But like the movie (and graphic novel) it was very sad. This was brilliantly penned, best of luck in my contest.
