Rearing up and striking out
with stong forelegs
head ducking down
and launching a powerful kick with the hind
then flat for a stride
let the cowboy loosen up a little
now up high again with those back legs
this time throw in a twist, a belly roll
sets the old boy off into the left sturrip
here comes the trade mark
one giant leap
puts his big steel shoed hoves high above the fence line
and that old cowboy comes unstuck
off the old boy goes rolling into the dust and the dirt
standing off a ways watching through a thick vale of forelock
as the cowboy stands
not hurt bad just has a bruised pride
and the cowpoke thinks he's going to climb back on
for another go
but not today
running now
with one last look of mischief thrown over the shoulder
the cowboy's saddle and all high tail it to the mountains
it'll be back in the morning though
cause that old bronc just likes the challenge
of tossing that old cow hand off
