dry your tears with salt and peat
for ancient fires that still burn
create a light of searing heat
that lights the night you yearn
for tears that are spilt into the flame
of bitter untold grief
will never douse that fiery mane
or give any sweet relief
let old angers die a natural death
and seek a better way
and live each day in every breath
and never let old hurts have their way...
Author notes
Waste not fresh tears over old griefs.
