Ice peeling like glass sheets
off last winter’s kill
uncovers a cold heart
un-beating but angry still
and if you dare to touch it
its anger will bleed and spill
like quick freeze on dearest rose
with warmth, turns to swill
even best of nice intentions
thwarted by a sense of will.

This poem is filled with so much hurt. It is often hard to heal after we have been hurt by someone close to us.
Good luck - let the ink flow and your fingers dance
