Blank Pages

What's this world coming to
When the only thing I can trust
Is this book full of
Blank pages?

My best friend's never around
When she is she doesn't care
She's always off chasing guys
And playing with her hair

Guys just want to use me
Sorry, boys, I'll pass
Guess what, nothing's free;
Gas, Grass, or Ass

So listen up, I'm getting out
Of this shitty town
Getting up and on my own
But I ain't going down

What's this world coming to
When the only thing I can trust
Is this book full of
Blank pages?

Author notes

The whole "Gas, Grass or Ass" part wasn't my idea, but I thought it would fit nicely.

Uh, honestly, I don't really like this too much, just a bit of a rant brought on by something I wrote in my journal. "What's this world coming to when the only thing I can trust is this book full of blanke pages"

you can't even trust a book full of blank pages, after all, there is always teh chance of a papercut. I have felt like this before. The only thing I could find that I could trust is my own imagination. Well, you can trust your kitty, I am here for you wnenever you want. (eats kitty treat, sees giant toothed mouse again, jumps into your arms) (eek!)

This may have been a rant, but it expressed true emotion with is a key part to a real good poem.
