In the shadows of memory,
I hear melodious dischord
as I try to escape the roundabout of living.
Yet, every turn arrests my flight
as I become further disconnected and anxious.
The screeching resonance of disharmony
perpetually exercises it's grasp on my sanity.
The 'in and out' of cacophany's past
ceaselessly reminds me...
I am but a fearful renegade...

Such a deeply profound piece of writing. Clear and emotion driven. Thanks for sharing... x Butterfly.

This poem was very well done. I studied this picture but the inspiration did not come. I think your interpretation is interesting and insightful. Good luck in this contest.

This is such a dramatic poem filled with (for me) frustration and discontent.
I enjoyed reading it and I've read it over and over. Each time feeling something different.
You have a very creative way with words.
"I hear melodious dischord" what an image.
Thanks.
