Her music played through the empty fairground;
haunting melodies interspersed with lilting harmony.
Faster and faster she sung,
spinning the words wildly like a dervish;
creating dark magic with her voice.
Powerless to resist; tossing flowing manes,
the dappled mares broke free of their harness,
ascended majestically, deep in the night sky.
Pirouetting and dancing, tasting brief life;
no longer part of a rusted, closed down ride.

I thought this had something to do with a maeery go around. Well I think the mare would be free to go where she wishes but she won't be a real horse. Congrats on your silver trophy. -
BANDITS UNITED!!
I love this!! I can remember riding the merry-go-round as a little girl and dreaming the animals could race me away from my ugly, bitter life to the stars. You certainly deserved this trophy, dear one.
