A Single Glance

I heard your voice in my heart
The blood of our union pulsed through my conscious
Ragged breath bore witness to the maelstrom
The moon is not here anymore
The tides will rest for eternity
The sun's glazed stare tracing a drunken arc
Across Apollo's fields of blue
Flames eschew all worldy aspirations
And all thats left to say?
Hey please look my way again.

Though I liked this piece but in a sense it felt somewhat forced from inside you. Almost as if you began to struggle to find the words you wanted to say. Over all a nice read.

Thanks for entering and good luck!

Is absolutely everyone who is taking part in C'moon's contest featuring their work today?

Of the ones I have seen today, this one crams the most into the ten lines. Could this mean you are trying to hard?

It's pretty good. Best of luck in the contest. Have a clap on me.
