Young Love

The moonlight hit just right
Reflecting off waves of sparkling iridescence
What he saw was truly a sight
A sparkling treasure no longer in adolescence

She was still young
This was true
But what was he to do
When love was to bloom?

The closest to heaven that he could see
Waited in eyes as blue as the sea
Pulling him deep into an abyss
With every passing moment
He didn't want to miss
What it would feel like
To feel her soft kiss

A sentiment easily echoed in one's heart! I love the rhyme scheme and thought this was an emotionally light-hearted piece! Nicely done.

Thank you for entering my contest. Love and luck in all you endeavor.

    What a romantic poem.
You've painted a very sweet picture in my mind's eye. Very nice imagery.
I liked your rhythm and rhyme.
I particularly liked "The closest to heaven that he could see"

    Thanks
