Writes poetry on the wind,
And humble poets bow their heads
To the stumbling of their pens.
Engraved upon the misty morn
A beauty that's sublime,
If only I could write that song
And claim that it was mine.

Congratulations on winning the bronze trophy for this entry. It was well deserved. A truly enjoyable read. Nicely done
-
A very lovely crafting poet, skillfully written. This is exactly how I feel often. Not only the song, but the poem. This is a great; for example. Loved this, and yes, wish I had written it. LOL
Congrats on the Bronze!
Much Love ♥

Utterly unique and brilliant use of words...Beautiful....
-
i like this very much... good write.
-
Beautiful as always Di and inspirational too. I love it when a poem unfolds like this and leaves a pleaasnt feeling that lingers on.

-
Charming Di. Very pretty. The nice thing about this is that it is so lovely yet quick and brief as well, like a first kiss. I like this a lot - (though it's not your best! Kidding! Ha!!!) Seriously, though, this is very sweet. Good job! - oce

it is as if you are granted some kind of capacity to see into cosmic imagining’s and relay them to the rest of us mortals – ok that was over the top, but i do think you’ve a wonderful way of capturing a thot in such an utterly unique way as to hold my attention – causing me to re-read your work again and again. It is easy to see why this is a trophy winner… Your poem captures the longing i have as a bumpy, poorly gifted, hack. Blessings and best wishes, ~richard
Congratulations on your trophy!

EXCELLENT
THIS HAS A TIMELESS ENDURING QUALITY ABOUT IT EACH LINE PLAYING ITS PART SO WELL.THE BEAUTY OF THE POEM REFLECTS THE BEAUTY OF NATURE.

-
Di
what a great poem, poetry's song in nature, sung without words yet so much meaning, so much impact to the listener, we have all been there and you have given us the experience we knew we had in us. Great poem and congratulations.

Short and sweet but oh so breathtaking!
Each word just seems to flow into the next with ease.
Wonderful!
Thanks for entering and good luck!

The surreal appeal
of the ink: incarnadine
lays well in the well
of the poets soul
if it be bold
truth be told
that the mist
from your waterfall
is enchanting.
Had to pen a little ditty of a reply.
Much enjoyed

This is short, sweet and nice. It has a very rhythmic flow and it was a pleasure to read. Good job.
Love, Black-Moon -
A great poem, short but very, very sweet. I really enjoyed it.
Wishing you lots of luck in the contest. Keep the ink flowing! xx -
Beautiful
That's truly wonderful.
Short and bittersweet. It really brings an image to mind that the carefully chosen words paint with frosted colors.
The last four lines are just exquisite. They express the undying beauty in such a scene.
keep it up!

Yes, there's poetry in nature and your wonderful little poem reflects this perfectly. Lovely piece, Di.

i think my heart
skipped a few beats upon reading that ... beautiful .. it is truly a work of art you have there ... beautiful!!!!!!! -
Outstanding!
Rather Robert Frost like, wonderful poem. The meter was brilliant and it flowed smooth as silk. Loved the fifth line, "Engraved upon the misty morn." Absolutely brilliant.

-
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!
I believe there are things that can never be fully expressed, only felt in ones heart and soul. I often see such beauty mostly when I least expect it.

-
I like this
and i have had that feeling
-
Beautiful
This was delicious. For sure, there's a lot of truth in those last two lines!
-
Amazing!

How lovely. I really enjoy this little poem. The meter and the bit of rhyme/slanted rhyme are quite flowing and I think that it works quite well.
The first line really draws you in.
"the dulcet song of speckled thrush
writes poetry on the wind".
so full of imagery. The poem evokes colors, and emotions and pictures..This is a lovely write you have here. -
Wonderfully expresssed!
This is awesome in poetic expression! It evokes visual and emotional thoughts and feeling. It is done so well for such a short poem!
-
Dang
Everytime I stop to read one of your poems I am just mystified at its beauty. You have one beautiful imagination and this picture goes so well with this poem. You seem to blow my mind away each time I read your work. Wonderful job...captivativated my mind which believe me is very hard to do. Beautiful....I truly hope you keep the pen flowing...
Emily
-
Beautiful and well written as always. Loved the line "And humble poets bow their heads To the stumbling of their pens." Good job. Good luck in the contest.

-
Gorgeous, as beautiful as the delicate picture that accompanies your poem, wonderful style, evokes many an emotion and ancestral memory of beautiful spring morns. Shakespeare meets Robert Plant. Coulnd't be better.

-
GREAT!
I loved, loved, loved this! I've definitely gotta add you to my faves, even if you don't do the same. What a talent you have here with words...wow. I'm speechless. GOD! GOD! I loved this!

-
A++
Great short write. Of course it was for a contest. I wish that it was longer though, because I was really getting into it. I love the picture used for this poem. Of course, another superb write from you. Well done here, well done. Your rhyme scheme and your flow was excellent. -
i really enjoyed this poem from you. sublime is one of my favourite words and you used it well here. good luck in this contest which you have entered. viyanna rosemarie
-
very good
fits picture very well very well written great job -
OH! speechless...how to describe this? magnificent, truly. the picture is wonderful, but more thn that, the WORD-picture is wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing.
-
Fantastic and majestic write! Not only is this keenly written with such clarity and prestige, but the tone and the mood is so vivid and so beautifully conveyed, it is mystifying. I adore the mood and feeling to this piece, it is the grandest thing about it. Not many poetic proses can establish such an impression and gripping emotion as this one does. It truly coaxes the soul to rejoice; it is a very beautiful, remarkable piece. Highly emotional, vivid imagery, and good structure and flow. Nicely done!

Awwww
This is very precious.
All that I could hear this misty morning was the scream of the peacock. Such a primal sound. When they all start screaming at once, it can curl the hair on the back of your neck.
-
impressive
hi di, i think this is excellent, it's so beautifully written, a lovely little piece indeed.very well done and good luck in the contest,
kind regards,
floorboards
-
Very vivid images even without the picture as accompaniment. Lovely flow and character to this write - we all wish we could claim some songs as our own - even when not referring to birds. LOL
-
Lovely picture. I like the way you describe the poet's inspiration and the struggle with being bale to capture the real essence of things with words. Words are very inadequate at times and this poem captures that reality very nicely. Well done.
-
Lovely
As always, your work is exceptional. You have a wonderful gift for imagery and flow. I find it difficult to rhyme without seeming forced (ewww forced rhyme!) but you manage to use rhyme to your advantage, tying your pieces together and making them sing. Bravo to you!
-
This poem is great - i feel akin to it, in that I've sat listening with pen and paper to birds singing and craved the ability to capture the beauty of their song. Plus, Im always listening to people's songs and wishing id written them first.

-
Di, this is a corker! It sums up the wish of every true poet (when in fact we don't do so badly!). I love the rhythm - almost perfect English hymn metre, which is one of my favourites. I love the half-rhyme of wind-pens, sublime-mine. You simply nailed this one! Best of luck in the contest.

-
Breathtaking. As ever you conjour images with your words that no picture could ever live up to. How peaceful. I love the way you express a slight envy and yet reverence towards the thrush for the beauty of his song. It is almost the same as when I read stunning poetry and wish I could write that way. Chris
-
Good
I really like ti. I have a problem trying to think of a comment that does it justice. All I can say is that I really like it. -
Very nice
This helps me with a problem with structure I am having with another poem I am writing. Thanks Di for the help. I owe you a nice glass of red.
Jim

-
Very pretty and serene. I love the flow; your words seem to roll down the page like a oceans tide. Beautiful.

-
Beautiful
it's short, but sweet
-
PERFECT>>>>>
You have penned the perfect poem
No mortal man can claim the song of this early misty morn,a beauty so sublime,a humble poet must bow their heads
-
Beautiful song of mystic sense.
I like the pic as well.
from your pen flows the font of beauty.

-
Beautiful accompaniment to that image you've chosen this morning, so nice and peaceful. Thank you for sharing it, and good luck!
