Muslims on Jesus

Muslims on Jesus

In God's Name, Muhammad spoke to Muslims
that Prophet Jesus' message was no whim
rightly guiding Pharisees to Torah
despite that Babylonian sect's laws.
He said Jesus was born of Virgin Birth
and as Messiah will return to earth
leading good Muslims, Christians and Jews
against the Anti-Christ whose lies confuse.
He said Jesus revealed one more will come.
Madina's Jews picked Muhammad, the one.
Chosen, Prophet Muhammad honored all
the Bible's previous prophets God called.
As Qur'an agrees with Old Testament's Word,
some worship Jesus who kneeled before Lord.

Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari

Author notes

Dear friends

Peace

As I started sonnets summarizing and paraphrasing religious history, I began to see many had no idea what Muslims believe on Jesus. Jesus, in Hebrew Esau and in Aramaic, Isa, is controversial. Jews see Isa in Talmud as a heretic. Some Christians see Isa as God though not all. Muslims see Isa as a Sainted Prophet and Messiah who will return to battle the Anti-Christ we call Dajjal.

Muslims and Christians are only adverse because of ignorance, politics and Satanic interference. We all believe in God, Hell, angels and Satan. Some leaders teach Christians Muslims hate Jesus or teach Muslims Christians hate Muhammad. Any reader of any of these books understands turning the other cheek and wanting for your brother what you want for yourself. In Islam, it is a specific sin to call a Jew or Christian an infidel because they do believe in the same one God.

All this as the Holy Qur'an honors Isa's birth, his message and Jesus' Virgin Mother in it. Christians will never read Qur'an and won't know this unless a non-religius sonnet says it.

Peace

Beautiful write. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him gave many details about Jesus (peace unto him), whom he referred to as his "brother." As a Muslim, I've always found them beautiful, especially references to his physical description.

Bravo, thanks for explaining this! We do need to get together (Jews, Muslims, Christians) because we're all the same. One of my theology tutors says himself and some Christians, Jews and Muslims get together in what they call the 'tent of meeting' to discuss their holy books, argue, laugh, and spend time together as brothers. This rocks! (I mean the poem, explanation and the tent of meeting rock)

    < Think Again . .

This is a very interesting write and such open thinking can only be a good thing.
Religion, although having its good points, can go horribly sour when confused or egoistic men put spin on what they say is Gods views – when they are not . . .

For many years I watched the struggles between the Catholic and Protestant faiths in Ireland and the extremist bombing of London . . which is not so far removed from the trouble now in the middle east . .

Jesus was in fact a Jew not a Christian, and he honored Abraham as do Muslims . .
It is time that spiritual people put their misdirected faiths on once side and refocused themselves on God rather than the numerous profits and clerics . .

Concerning the comments on the 9/11 tragedy, this was a terrible act of terrorism carried out by extremists . . I hesitate to call them Muslims. If a similar high jacking was carried out by the Ku Klux Klan on Moscow or China – Russia and China would not retaliate by bombing those countries or going to war as the US has done. They would have treated the matter like the Lockerbie tragedy , called for an investigation and lawfully punished the culprits – More that half a million people have now died because to the 9/11 tragedy and I feel enough is enough – The Iraq was handled all wrong . .

I am a Christian and have read the Holy Qur'an. I have also read holy books on Buddhism, Judaism, Atheism... An open mind opens the heart. One dear friend of mine who passed away a few years back was a Muslim, we were great friends. He shared many Biblical (Holy Qur'an) Scriptures with me and I shared many Scriptures (Holy Bible) with him. There were many differences traditionally but none spiritually. God is the God of ALL, great and small. Our rituals and traditions may differ but the Lord I know allows His sun to shine on all faiths the same. It would be my druthers that everyone knew Jesus Christ as I know Him in my heart. It would delight me if each knew that the Trinity was real, as in the triad of life. It bothers me not that there are those that look at Jesus as a Prophet for indeed He was prophetic. In the Holy Bible He says; "I and my Father are one, no man comes unto the Father except by me". I believe that to be truth. He also says; "I am the way, the truth, and the light..." I feel that in my heart.

Although there are differences in perspective and belief, respect is utmost here. I respect what you comprehend as truth in your faith, and deem the same. We can commune as one with varied outlooks.

This poem is very well crafted, and speaks of goodness which is who, and what God is. The greatest law, the greatest gift is LOVE. I love you no matter what you depict as fact, whether I agree or disagree.

    Excellent writ.

    Much Love ♥

AT, this is a very beautiful work, as I would expect no less from you. I do not wish to go so deeply into the complications of religions and their differences nor why they see them as such. There are too many walls and too many armed men on the otherside who will hear only what they want to. That is afterall our human nature. However, I did want to say that your phrasing in your author's notes though I do not think was meant to be offensive came off as such. One should not generalize the Christian population anymore than any other population to pressume what they do and do not know, nor what they would and would not do. It is a body made up of many individuals just like everything else.

Thank you so much for directing me to this work. I heart you dearly.

    My dear son

    Tis indeed a unique write
That you have shared this day
    Intriguing it is quite
I am fascinated I must say
for I see one thing within here
It struck me to the soul
Sharing knowledge too often we fear
But we should, to keep us whole!
I take to myself no religion one
But a melding of so many of them
There should be one it must be done!
Then peace as a people will be when!

ok, a rocky write, but spur of the moment and mostly just saying that i consider myself a universal spiritualist, enjoining many beliefs into one and look forward to learning more of the muslim religion so to add what I find as well!!

I need to talk to you about this.
You say the Qur'an aligns itself up with parts of the Old Testiment. That means it aligns itself up with the New as well, and that Jesus is the one and only Massiah and the one and only way to heaven.
    John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

      Muslims honor many books
      including the New Testament
      as wisdom within nooks
      despite its conflicting sentiments.

      The old time religion
      from Genesis through Psalms
      has no Muslim derision
      sets off no alarms.

      However, Muslims all await
      until Christians all convene
      rationalizing conflicting books fate
      and what Gospels mean.

      Still, as Divine Revelation
      all monotheists do agree
      that the Old Testament
      protects us all equally.

        Muslims honer God's Holy Word,
But so does satin and demon spirits
The Bible is a two-edged sword,
        Not handy advice to parrot

        Jesus hates religion
        It's why there's terrorists
        Muslims use a smidgen
        Of the Bible- Their subsist

The Bible is understood by crooks!
        Not an error found!
The Gospels aren't the only books
        No mystery abounds!

        The Old testiment contains
        Prophocies like Isaiah
        That interlock like chains
The Bible is what God's saying!

Abdul, thank you most kindly for the link to this clarifying write, combining the history aspect and the rhyme must of been tricky and the end is a little sharpish compared to your others I have seen. Yet otherwise the words speak such year and ocean, and as you wrote in your notes 'because of ignorance' the language between systems of belief breakdown. Not from the core of the beliefs themselves, for the past and present are intermingled with many prophets with aurasome power and light in which god does speak.

As for the present, in my belief the greater number and strength of humanity can tend to blur those whom have this strength today. As in my belief the light of these chosen ones is just below the surface and so working all the better for our dreams and so actions with a quantum wave effect that these forefathers placed throughout history. At purposely placed times, for our greater concious to aspire with. And as such uncover the mystery and challenge we all face in the great tests of hope and reason that were also placed.

Yet as for the existance of an anti-christ I believe (and this is just my opinion no offence meant of course) 'god gets mighty weak supporting both sides of any argument' and even if it is placed in one man or woman, we would all fail. The very burden of any prophet's wisdom. And so as I go to meditate I will think of thy wisdom and smile, with so god bless

Apart from being a beautiful sonnet, this is a most helpful clarification of where the three major beliefs have gone wrong. As an erstwhile Christian (too complicated to explain here) but adherent of the teachings of Jesus - another Aramaic spelling is Yeshua - I am grateful for your explanation of how Muslims see him. Thank you.
You might find the writings of Neil Douglas-Klotz not only interesting but also bringing the three beliefs into the cosmos. If you would like, I'll give you the details of his three major books.

    Excellent and Informative

Thank you so much, Abdul, for directing me to this fine piece of work. It is a sad reality that religion(s) are the cause of most wars and, certainly, of much bloodshed; however, where there are those who truly believe in and worship God and have faith in His Son, our Messiah Christ, there is only peace and friendship promoted. While I grew up in "religion," God has lead me away from them and pointed me to only His Word and His Ways.

Alas, prejudice surrounds us; a mentality I have never understood, cannot imagine how such people think. All I know is that we are "all of one blood," therefore all are brothers and sisters; each bring something unique, special and fascinating to the table. Would that the world should thoroughly enjoy the myriad quisine, instead of acting as though only certain people are acceptable and others are not: ALL are beautiful!

There is only one God and one Messiah, for which each language provides a name different from another; but, it is the same God, nonetheless. What gives any human the right to force their beliefs upon another? The right we have is to love one another and, by love, to care for one another. Mankind has made a horrible mockery of God's love, and in these His love does not reside.

Thank you again, dear Abdul, for posting this wonderful poem so full of valuable information.

    Much love in Christ,
    B♥nnieQ

    That's right . .

I wrote about this many years ago - in fact most problems in Religion are caused by clerics – but basically there should be only one religion and that is Godism . . but even that has been hijacked by an egoistical group – all the religions around the Jews, Muslems and of course Christianity realy revolve around the same man – Abraham . .

Sadly the devil is ahead of the game at the moment . .

I knew this. Spent years of study to prove the bible was a lie, only proved I was a fool for thinking "they" taught the truth. I 'looked into' the Muslim faith, but am shamed to say that I do not KNOW the Qur'an. More my folly, agreed. I came to believe that faith in the One God, by whatever name, was key, that being the best person I know how to be was following, and that telling all who will listen of His love was worship. I hold to no Christian 'sect', shamefully I even know a hatred of some of them. I may not agree with all teachings of the Qur'an, but I do believe that all who love the One God and live trying to be their best and share His word will know His promised reward. I believe that one day I be able to hug you to me in brotherhood and have you embrace me in kind. I believe that love of man and God is reward in its' own right, and worthy. I believe you are my brother, already. Thank you, sincerely, for this post which I see as promoting such brotherhood and love of God. Thank you for being a brother to be proud of.

I'm really happy you put this out there. You're absolutely right. Religion in general has people so scared to venture out and find other truths...it would be such a sin, or a betrayal to what they believe. I've always felt that in order to define what it is you believe in, you should always take the time to learn your options. Do a lil reading and decide for yourself. Many people are born into a religion...and thus stick to it because it is all they know. The intimidation comes when something new is introduced. But in any case, you've raised a good point and I'm so glad you made it known. This was a great piece of work here.
