no moves forward, backwards or across
leaving me distracted from my life
I need to disconnect from your bondage
Letting go of you to get back to me
Dousing this fiery obsession
with tears of reality
Walking a path of self-worth

Oooh, obsession. I know a little about that. It's such a painful way to live, and it takes away from other aspects of your everyday life. I can tell from your writing though that you are a strong woman and when you can finally extract yourself from this situation, that is something that no one can ever take away from you, something you can live through, learn from and draw on for other difficult times in your life.

Great work here! What a terrible feeling to be such a victim. I love your rise up from the quicksand love that you wrote about here. It's always a challenge to try and find yourself after such a relationship. Although, it can be done and can be very life changing.
