Day off.
A phrase to describe luxury.
Stillness.
A luxury awarded to the hard working,
In a blue moon,
On the third Sunday of the month
that Easter time falls.
Relaxation.
An adjective indicative of
The enjoyment of Stillness
Of which the aforementioned describes.
On the day of relaxation, when the sunshine
Falls across the planes of grass which lays
Across the public park outside my window.
I smile.
As the sun rises over the dew, grass plays
Amongst the rays of warmth to dance and sing,
To rejoice, to begin, I smile and say
Today is my day of relaxation.
High in the sky the sun sits midday,
Amongst the crisp cloud that shivers
in dismay to my warmth where I sit in stillness;
my day of luxury.
Falling past the horizon the sun waves
hello to the night. Temperatures dropping
out of sight this day I rejoice in stillness,
of warmth, of relaxation.
This day is my day, my day off.

Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!!
Bravo!!! This was as our host said very smooth and relaxing. I loved the imagery that sprang forth through your words. Something that really caught my eye was your ending. I think it was the most powerful line in the entire piece. We all need that day, that day off. The choices we made were so hard with the entries that we had here and this was one of my favorites. Congratulations on the HM and keep it flowing. Love and God bless, Joyce
