You watch me from afar
My hair glistening in the sun
My sleek form weaving its way
Gracefully throughout the room
I throw the curtains back
So the sunlight may enter and
More fully illuminate my actions
You are too far away though
Still devoured by darkness
and then I seem to hear within me
the shadows whispering my name
you call me from blackness depths
to abandon the light
as I walk the dusty floor the
rays of light play across my face
seeming to move as if to warn
but farther in they dim and die
the shadows beat them back
in the struggle of light and dark
your face grows from the night
the paleness of the moon
a loss of time within black eyes
a smile of sharpened pearls
a passionate kiss of old lovers
and a final bite of joy

Lovely. You integrated your style with the first bit so well, and created a seamless transition between to first piece and yours. Very good job!
Blessed be.

I felt as if I was walking through your poem as it happened. You have great imagery, I could see the light fading and then dying away. Well done.
Thank you for entering and good luck!!!
