Black and white fill this world,
Snow and shadows from these trees;
While day is just as cold as night
Where thoughts and feelings freeze.
Though the sun peeks through the clouds
It makes the dullness brighter;
But I just smile and let it pass
Drawing my blankets even tighter.
The hopes of tomorrow's face,
The feeling of that someone,
The memories making me bolder,
Have the walls of dull undone.
The butterflies that hibernate
In my stomach through the winter;
And thoughts that dwell like sentinels
Guarding my heart no one can splinter.
And when that dawn finally rises
Those colors caress my skin.
Rainbows dance along that snow
And remind me all that's been.
Author notes
Those little things in life that appeal to the five senses are what make my life worth while as well as what i feel deep inside.

This is really good.
My favorite lines were:
"The memories making me bolder,
Have the walls of dull undone."
Best of luck,
Keep it up!
