I saw you there with Kikyo
Now my heart doesnt know where to go
I never realized how I feel
and now I do, it feels too real
with tearful eyes I try to forget
the memories made, the times we've spent
the sacred tree, still stands tall
500 years, and yet to fall
too many memories here I see
where you once saw Kikyo when you saw me
the Jewel Shards sitting on the shelf
for the good of us all I must forget myself
yet I still feel myself back away
at the thought of you seeing me this way
I try and try and try to ignore
but these failed attempts make me remember more
I have come to realize, I cant compete with her
too much between you has occured
and so I will back away
and ask you just one more thing
Will you please allow me to stay
so I can still see you day by day
I accept we couldnt be
but what about friends, possibly?

well, this is Kagome's point of view. This is my absolute favorite episode of Inuyasha. Its absolutely magnificent and it holds too many personal similarities.

*Sniff* So sad and sweet! This poem is really great! Yes I have seen #48 of Inuyasha. I've also seen the 1,2,3,& 4th movie of Inuyasha. Anyway... this s still a good piece!
