My words are not nuanced
Though I know you won't believe
My motives are bright blood spots
Unmistakably
Unambiguous
My tongue is not forked
What you see is what you get
Believe it
Or not
Though I know you won't believe
My motives are bright blood spots
Unmistakably
Unambiguous
My tongue is not forked
What you see is what you get
Believe it
Or not
Author notes
I'm a woman so writing from a guy's perspective. This is about the tendency of women to put all kinds of hidden meanings into people's words that aren't really there. Sometimes we let our emotions get the better of us and we'll get upset because someone phrased something in a way we didn't like. We pick apart a lot things that we not mean to be any deeper than what was initially presented.

Bravo !!!
Beautifully done, but there is a slight spelling "mistake". Please don't get upset with me for pointing that out.

Not at all. The whole idea of this website is to critique poems whether the mistakes are elementary or much deeper. Only thing is, I don't see the spot you're talking about. I stuck the whole thing in Microsoft Word and no spelling errors showed up. Some homonymn I'm not noticing? What's the problem?

U(n)mistakably... that's why I placed the word mistake in quotes. By the way, I was only teasing about having to point it out considering the nature of your submission.

I loved this one as well, great thoughts running through this and a whole lot of truth. Thank you for this fine entry.
