Pain envelops my body
Undeniable grief engulfs me
My heart is tortured more so
For where is my love?
Desperation tears me to shreds
Cannot go, not yet
I crave to see his face, look in his eyes
Hold his hand, breathe the same air
Mumbled prayer escapes my lips
Gentle wind hits my face
Through swollen eyes an image appears
An angel, he is here with me
My regret hits home as I take in his smile
Time passed and lost with no hope of return
Moments now are cherished, blissful relief
I let out a sigh……..
