I've been quiet and reserved
Staying silent through
All the pain I haven't earned
You see only a small part
Of who I really am
I may seem like one of
Those "freaks" who in their
Free time dream up ways to
Kill their enemies
But I'm not
Actually, I'm just like you
I like going to the mall
And gossiping about who's dating whom
I just happen to do those things my way
And my friends live miles away
When I moved here, you see
I left my life behind
Though I had been willing to start a new one
But being different
Made things hard
You see, small towns are different
You know everybody since you could talk
And they don't care how you look
But just remember, you never know
What lies behind a dreamer's eyes.

Author notes
I wrote this with inspiration from the look in her eyes. They seemed to be showing pain, but also laughing at the same time. So I made up a background and wrote about what is going on.
Of course, I have no clue what is going on, and if that is even the look she's portraying, but that is what I got out of it.
