Water laced with wine
Is that what you tell me?
Speak not
You shall not tell me my inevitability
Not so when you know so less
We were high on what we thought we knew
Not so, if the trials of the tribulations we suffer in
Fall out at the ending line
Ballroom dance with me, spin a line of wondrous beauty
This fleeting moment
A key surrounded by a mass of locks
Is the only yes
In the doubt
Fly now
With me we shall soar
Like birds on a skyline still walking in a park
Where are we now, and where are we going?
Not so much effort put into the remote possibility
That we might not know.
Author notes
Kudos to the band Incubus for giving me inspiration, and to the bitch that said all my dreams would be crushed.

Great statement. Some wonderful images here, particularly the last stanza, which speak volumes more than a direct delivery might. There is a lot of beauty in this, despite the potentially agressive nature of the statement, which is great, and the language itself flows extremely smoothly. The message, to me at least, is that we cannot predict the future, we can only go there, which is certainly a very reasonable conclusion.
Overall, a great write which manages to make a hearfelt statement of intent devoid of uneccessary anger or aggression, instead laced with beautiful imagery and meaning.
All the best,
Ed
