No Longer The Enemy

My motto today is "forgive and forget"
Everyone makes mistakes that they regret.
Every war has two sides
Every side has a story
If you dwell on the past,
  you will get angry
If you look up ahead,
  there will be glory
So that's why today I'm forgiving all enemies
Hoping that soon there will be remedies
The whole world will conjoin
We'll hold hands and start skipping
[And then I'll wake up
To say I must be trippin']

Author notes

About forgiveness/forgiving enemies, not dwelling on the past. Wrote it two years ago after a friend left me alone.

    awesome

this hits right here *points to heart* ... i just (yesterday) reconciled with my exboyfriend... and then i thought about it... am i a Nazi fascist for hating his kind? am i a hypocrite for hating him when i generally think of myself as a loving person? so i had to come to term and forgive him. Great Write! Really relates with people! Love it!
