Sitting in a silent room
listening to my heartbeat
hear it, a familiar tune,
as i sit,cold,at my desk
two people in here are sobbing
one of them is myself
head in our hands crying,
"we should have been there to help"
noone in here notices,
I cant hear what the teacher says,
I just hear you and me
played over and over in my mind,
our last day together
we thought we had more time,
I thought we would have more laughter
my ears begin to ring,
as I hear a familiar melody
together we used to sing,
I touch your empty desk
to know that you're at rest
I only see in a haze,
from crying all the time
all our wasted days,
I thought things would be fine,
My time has stopped
My life is a dark black veil
I am cast into the forever twilight
never again to see another day shine.
