Short and sweet, very nice with no extra verbs to clutter your meaning. I can't suggest improvements, since there isn't really enough there to make a mistake with. This is nice, thank you for entering.

Wow Lori, nice write and congrats on the silver. Verbal abuse is a slow killer that rips you apart a little at a time. belittling statements of a conceited, arrogant person is sickening. Thanks for sharing lil sis.

Verbak abuse.........oh how I know it all too well
You have penned a short but powerful piece.
Abuse is more than just physical or sexual;
there is both verbal, mental and psychological as well.
Each capable of doing enormous amounts of damage
to a person.
