Being old is not all bad

It has advantages you see

It isn't necessary to impress anyone

Now I can just be me

 

I wouldn't turn back the clock

To change the things I've done

The actions of days gone by

Wasn't all that much fun

 

My hair is streaked with silver

A sign of wisdom you see

Don't try to outsmart me with criticism

Or you'll get some advice for free

 

I see my reflection in the pool

A young lady so innocent and free

But when I face the facts of life

I'm happy and content just being me

    I like this...I love the line, "you'll get some advice for free." LOL. That's the way most advice comes anyway..
    whether we want it or not.
