I cry out
To the wind
And it sweeps away my pain
As ice numbs me
From the outside in.
I cry out
To the wind
As it whispers to my tears
And it soothes
My empty soul
I
Do not
Need you.
You
Will not
Have me.
And I have cried out before
Only to get a harsh response
Of the wind
And the ice
And the snow
And the pain
As they make me
So, so
Numb.
And the only question left
Is why
Do I
Keep crying?
Author notes
Lately I've begun to like the feeling of numbness. The brisk winter air does naught to change that.
Please tell me what you think

I like this poem a lot. It's really good. You are very talented.
I like how you have one word then two words then two words in some spots. Overall, this is just a magnificent poem.
Keep up the good work.
