it is when dusk falls
that you accompany me
& the places
that we have been
without leaving this room
are held within
this loft space
of memories
we roamed
to find peace
within the eye
of imagination
& dreams of demi-gods
signing language
spoke to me
in the companionship
of silence

    Great poem.

We can go anywhere we let ourselves go... the only limit is our imagination..... Great job. Best of luck to you in the contest.
    Take care.

i really like the pace of this, particularly as you wove meaning and impact and imagery into this without disrupting the flow.... this poem slowly steals and feeds the reader. i like the style alot and i did not immeadiately expect the depth, it developed as the poem progressed, like a photograph. i feel that it is important to mention this aspect of your poem in such detail as i think that this gives the reader a chance to truly immerse themselves in your ideas and imagery. excellent job.
    all the best,
    fay

This really touched me. You definitely touched on a very profound idea in only a few lines.

    I really love this part:

    & the places
    that we have been
    without leaving this room

And I loved how you referred to the companionship of silence, capturing an aura of understanding without words.

Thanks for sharing and best of luck in my contest

Isn't that the truth. We all live in a world of silence but the few who are truely of the world of silence is the ones that need to see and live with sign language.

Holy Smokes!! This is just incredible! There is sooooooo much said, and so few words. A peaceful scene, one in which lovers will be able to relate quite easily! Thanks for sharing. Best of luck in the conest!!!!!!!

Isn't it great that in our lives, the simplest little sign, can give us more pleasure and support than a whole statement of words.
a blown kiss, a smile, a wink, an out streched hand, a wave, a hug, and all past with love without a word spoken. you did a great job with this piece, and although the words appear before us, a silent sign of wisdom and thought touched us. Well done.

So full of silence, so full of heart this poem...there are indeed times when silence raise its head and speaks so loudly. Beautifully written...something here speaks to me so clearly tonight.. "without leaving this room too".

Gawd help me, another sensational write, the imagery in this is brilliant.... I love that this one is not long, for it would take from the piece to fill it with anything other than what is here.. well done

Jesus, wish you'd quit showing the rest of us up . Yet another great read, exquisite imagery and majestic metaphors make for quite the read. I don't really have any suggestions for improvement, sorry, but thanks for the read.

    Rich charcoal drawing

The silence that is filled caresses and eases us comfortably into the warm joys of our own hearts. The imagery, line length and pace create a wonderful journey into the heart. Love, Tom B.
