Band-aids, finger tips, and arching backs.
Drip-drop into that sea-salt matter,
I hadn't even been thinking about the sea until the moment,
When my band-aided fingertips dipped into,
The dip of her back,
Sweat soaked and salt scented,
My fingers burned as the bandages were saturated,
In a false love,
I loved it.
My fingers matched that raged which at my core,
In those moments with searching hands,
And drunken speach,
My mind doesn't have to race for answers,
Because my hands are already finding them.
I've watched her face change a thousand times,
And mine stays stotic and stoney,
I was a dynamic man back when my heart was young...
And then... I was a stoney and hard as the always and never.
My first lover,
"There is nothing more to learn,
Than to use somebody,
And to be used in return."
I parapharse a sea-salt matter,
That stings more than sweat,
On slit finger tips,
I'm holding the walking dead again.

I love your expression in this poem. I also like that you make refrence to two different lovers in your work. My favorite lines are "In a false love,/I loved it." It shows your true emotional attachment to the one that you happen to be with...none. And isn't that how it really tends to go sometimes?

Lovely execution. I like this one a lot. It's so very on the mark for the purpose of my contest.
