Just Another Face in the Crowd

Missing image

Just another face in the crowd
That is how you see me now
And I humbly accept and smile back at you
Because that is how I see myself

Just another face in the crowd
Lumped in as just a small part
A tiny whitecap on the sea of humanity
Breaking against the shore of inevitability

Just another face in the crowd
Another nameless unknown personage
The one expressing dynamically
He does not see you that way

I never saw this, I had no idea I made you feel this way until now when you put it in the list of poems you wrote for or about me. Now I feel bad.

    I love you,
    Amera

No one is ever just another face in the crowd. The spirit never sees any of us that way. Who would know better?

      I beg to differ...

Myra has it right. The divine perspective of the spirit is that no one is ever just a face in the crowd. We tend to see ourselves that way because we look to others for our guidance and not to the spirit. So, I must change my view and accept the spirit's edict. Easy to do when viewing another, but harder when viewing the self. Thanks for the comment.

You state in the fourth line, "Because that is how I see myself"...meaning...humbly just another face in the crowd, right? My stance is that Spirit does not differentiate between you or anyone. ALL shine just as brightly as the other when Spirit is shining. No one stands above the crowd. When I say "We are all just faces in the crowd," I meant no one is more special than anyone else unless the self somehow inflates a person's importance.

That would be logical and reasonable, however, reason plays no part in the spirit's domain. Things that seem impossible are very possible.

Tell me. I'm listening. Do not be shy. Speak up. Hmmmmmmmmm. Yes. Hmmmmmmmmm. No. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Okay. True. Agreed. Absolutely.

    See?
I see you. You are NOT just another face in the crowd ...

I know that and you know that... some people think it is possible to see me that way... I think the concept is hilarious! Thanks for your thoughtful words.
