While asleep with me

While asleep with me

Lord, I bundle sheets
  rustling into each other
  poking our four feet
  twenty toes tickled lovers.

The night light low
  as children are asleep
  trusting each other so
  in God we keep.

Holding each other tight
  like a bear hug
  upon a chilly night
  our legs weave rugs.

Horizontal, we become equals
  in status and fears
  our soft pajamas pull
  warming souls so dear.

One third of life
  is spent in dreams
  avoiding our daily strife
  and fears it seems.

Surrender all our cares
  floating off to dreams
  knowing I am there
  your protector with means.

Fly into my arms
  please while you're asleep
  awaking to my charms
  as blissful you peep.

For here we remain
  equal in all ways
  before God the same
  as humbly I pray.

Yawn with your musk
  oh, beauty don't awake
  set aside your tusks
  dreaming of wedding cake.

When far from you
  I return asleep again
  to dreams so true
  beautiful yet so plain.

      Its been so long lady

      Long ago you rose
      to occasion and need
      giving your heart's repose
      never showing any greed.

      Those charities and contests
      let me know then
      that you through tests
      are Janet's true friend.

      Nephew if I may
      some advice I have
      to your soul say
      which you may save.

      She feels your passion
      for her sweet heart
      but not your compassion
      for children within art.

      She is too shy
      to say support charities
      though she does cry
      to tanscend all banality.

      Your sacrifice for others
      once won her heart
      to be her lover
      rescue others from dark.

Dear Iohagh/Janet sent the link to me for this exquisite poem of what true love is really all about. As others have noted, this piece is even more exquisite in that it was written by two people with such similar styles that one cannot tell which wrote what. Thank you, Janet, for your thoughtfulness in sending the link to me!

      Brother we are in bliss...

      Its not mindless joy
      though we have fun
      or either acting coy
      much must be done.

      However, we are one
      I her sacred place
      our dreams have become
      protecting each other's face.

      Still, we must grow
      to transcend sense's demise
      for as we know
      life surprises with compromise.
