Listening With My Eyes -HM

Missing image
This has to be a dark-haired angel,
black hair tied with bright beads
at end of long braids.  She dances,
then comes to rest at the edge of this forest
that I come too, to check, to see,
if she visits me yet.  Her dance,
like ribbons in wind, brings her near.
She speaks an ancient language
through dark eyes and in any dark world
I know she has given me beautiful hope
on frail wings that make no sound
unless I listen with my eyes.

I know flutterbys are my favorite too. On the hoops I hang outside, I have found that the butterflies love the deep yellow and reds. They will visit the hoops all through the day.

I liked the ideo of hope that you have established in this piece Carol. The structure suits your mood beautifully and truly does evoke a calmness. All the best to you in your contest. Hope that you are well. Anthony.

Yes, it does...I am a bit flighty. *grins* And I wanted line five to emulate the quick movments they make when they seem flap their wings in sputtering jerks while they perch.

How pretty! They come and light on me all the time in the Summer outdoors. My kids laugh, because I always seem to have one perched on my head or anywhere without knowing it. That and wild birds sit near like they have something to tell me. Just some of thoses priceless gifts of life I enjoy. Nary a word have they imparted so far. Ha! This was a lovely piece.~Suseann

they never cease to amze me. I have always loved to watch their wide arcs when they check out a place to perch.
