Her moist satin
opens
latent emotions;
forever spread
like petals
thread
between succulent lips.
She settles
and nestles
in folds, reminiscent
of ruby
red.

Just about every word in this simple poem is loaded with (more than one) meaning. The verb "opens", just for a moment, could be intransitive ("Her moist satin opens"), but then along comes an object to make it transitive ("... opens latent emotions"). The "S" sounds are a collection of sexy exhalations, and the "R" sounds a contented growl.

Outstanding! Love the short, succinct, powerful lines. So much emotion and imagery in this, with so few well chosen words. Although I wasn't fond of using the word 'red' in any of the poems, you seemed to haved pulled it off with grace and elegance! So - I shall happily overlook that word...it's perfectly used here!
Thank you for the beautiful entry to this contest, and good luck. Very Well Done!

This is beautifully done! I had some problems doing this one, wasn't easy, a challenge so to say... but YOU did this with such ease and imagery! Best of luck in the contest Melon...again, an outstanding write! Annie

Hi Annie
nice to meet you, I don't come on here very often *smiling.
Thank you for your gracious comment. I wish I had more time to write, in honesty, I spent no more than a minute or two on this and to me, it shows *chuckling.
Once again, thank you.
Oh, by the way, call me Mel
