At the end of the day you're just one day older,
Tried just once more to earn the eye of the beholder.
At the end of the day I'll still try to hold her,
And at the end of the day I'll be shot through the heart.
At the start of the day you're the clock that starts slowing,
And you hear the winds of your old age that never stop blowing.
At the beginning of the day I'll sit back and whisper,
That today I just might get to kiss her.
At the end of the day you're another day older,
At the end of the day your soul become colder.
At the end of the day as I lay my head to rest,
I pray that I may pass your test.
At the signal of dawn and as the sun begins to rise,
I try not to, but I must open my taciturn eyes.
At the signal of dawn and as the world wakes,
I pray that today I will make no mistakes.
Because at the end of the day we're just another day older.
Because at the end of the day we're just a tad bit colder.

"I'll make you up so beautiful," apparently.
