mom

i want you to know
what you mean to me
through thick and thin
you have made me see

You light up everything
make the days seem brighter
I want to thank you mom
For making me a fighter

i know that i have hurt you
even made you wanna cry
but i know you'll always love me
until the day you die

you have taught me everything
even right from wrong
i know i will make mistakes
but i will try to be strong

i can't believe i'm a mom now
i want it all to last
my little angel is so precious
hes growing up to fast

Please tell me what you think

    A really positive poem

I am sure your mum loved it and your child will one day cherish it too. It shows the link between different generations, bonded by love.

One thing I would say is when you are writing about yourself, it is usual to write 'I' not 'i', but that is a minor thing and doesn't detract from the lovely poem.

    Fantastic

I think this one of the most touching poems I've ever read.  It speak out to the reader as if to set it's tone of voice and emotions, so to speak. As you read does not feel as though you are reading but as you are being read to, if that makes any sense. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for me anyway your poem is alive with emotion. It is also very refreshing to read a poem that does not look like it is printed to go a card or something else as boring. Many would disagree, but I believe there is a time when the focus should be on the specific guidelines and there are times when the time should when it should and this poem's case it should not. Your poem is simple, from the heart, put my feeling on the paper, etc and it turned out excellent, perfect. I really liked the lack of punctuation marks. That gave this poem it's character, uniqueness not to mention that's the way you, the poet, wanted your poem to be written. I thing all was fine. Keep up the great typing!

    Ahhh...

Moms...it's funny. We hate them and then love them, but no matter what they'll always love us and see us the same: the day they brought us home. This was a sweet poem. Very sentimental!

    Inspiring

Oh shit.. this was awesome. It actually made me question shedding some tears for awhile.. I think it's amazing when I see good parents and people who are thankful for their own parents as well. Hmm.. it must be awesome to have a loving person in your life. The reason this hit my kinda hard is just cuz of personal stuff with my own life, and just to add, it takes a good poem for that to happen. Hehe, you've got great talent- keep writing!

    Thus the circle of life...
A beautiful tribute to your mother. I think that you should give this to her. I am certain she will cherish this forever. It is beautifully written and expresses your love and appreciation for her. Well done dear poet.
