The Freewriter

her graceful hand swept freely ‘cross the page
knowing that her soul was the one that wrote
the words that formed compared not of the sage

she wrote about love she wrote about rage
and looking at these poems one could note
her graceful hand swept freely ‘cross the page

her poems seemed to be beyond her age
most people were almost tempted to quote
the words that formed compared not of the sage

her great freewriting skill was often gauged
and many a critic would come to dote
her graceful hand swept freely ‘cross the page

still some thought she should be locked in a cage
but many said that against that they’d vote
the words that formed compared not of the sage

the words she wrote were good enough for stage
most people were shocked that she didn’t gloat
her graceful hand swept freely ‘cross the page
the words that formed compared not of the sage

Please tell me what you think

Ah, from a writers soul, or muse. Hard pushed in a few places, but all in all a very good poem.

very good freewrite...I enjoyed it even if it did have a sing-songy zip to it, but you pulled it off quite well and made it kinda smoky and inviting...good job!

u r quite welcome. i love to write freeverse but my teacher always insists that i write in format, so i got back at her and wrote in format about freeverse. i hope to be known for writing from the heart and soul not for trying to fill a format and failing misserably... was it really that good?
