She was locked away
Kept from your eyes
Scared of their presence
Dying in her own mind
If only they knew
She wouldn't be so alone
Chained down by her trust
Doused in her own love
She was left there to burn
Her tears fuel the fire
Each flame tickles her nerves
Freezing her in their searing embrace
If only she knew
They wouldn't be so alone
Kept in their seclusion
Starved for a hint of her emotions
They were left there to learn
That some love is not meant to be felt
And certain tears are not meant to be seen
If only we knew we wouldn't be so alone

Love the rhyme.. its really pure. Like the meaning of the poem. Well written

Wow those last lines hit me like a brick wall. Makes me wonder if that holds truth in my life, that it does... I'm nearly speechless... but not quite.

This is a great write. Change the color of the words though, very difficult on the red hue of the background.
