Upon a Ray

Your euphony’s sunlight
soaring softly
through the sheathing of my gauze…

as soul meets body,
piercing
the planetary plane

Darkness,
blending without cause
in the silence of your galaxy
where pulsing vows
breathe
my ethereal eagerness

I arc
upon this rhythmic ray
as moon drip spills
its goddess silk

and fingertips
of shooting stars

    descend
          upon my flesh

Oh my...the metaphorical sensuality instilled in this has been expressed with such eloquence. The use of metaphor is superb, and the language simply wonderful. "...as soul meets body...," "...as moon drip spills its goddess silk...." Wonderful lines!! Plenty of vivid imagery, as well. Thanks for the wonderful entry, and good luck!

    Wonderful

The imagry that was yused in this piece is very strong and complex. Dare I ask what inspired such a masterpiece? It reminds me in a strange wayof some write by Silvia Plathe. And I appoliguse if you or anyone else is offended by that comparison, but it was one on the first thoughts that came into my mind after reading it. Thankyou for sharing that with us x

Oh, but you do simplicity so well, Annie. This is so beautiful and the line "and fingertips of shooting stars" so totally imaginative. This is a perfect poem for this picture and I know Mary will just love it as much as I do! I have been staring at the picture for quite a few days now....and just look where you took it! Loved the subtle tones of sensuality here...almost a sense of weightlessness...light and airy and dreamy and elegant. Beautifully written, Annie - simply beautiful! Love you, my friend
