Turtles, Walls and Rain

Turtles
chase the eagles
where the lonely river crawls
between the molting cliffsides of the mountain's wistful walls
but the clouds can't save the turtles like the river's saved by rain
no, clouds don't rain down saviors
all the clouds can rain
is rain.

I like the "you" message at the end- rain is needed and lovely, but in the end its only rain. Lovely imagrey as always.

what's weird is that i as being nostalgic-- i think that's the word-- last night, and went by your page. i remembered that you haven't posted in some time, and i actually was pretty sad about that. i think i remembered you by taking three pizzas out of the oven. ha, i was like... "oh, yeah! greg works at that pizza thing now, doesn't he?" so yeah, i just now saw you posted today, and felt that that was pretty cool. i'm happy now.

this didn't disappoint. i loved the meter in it. corey'd freak.

    how's life been?

    Nice

I like it. I can picture vividly a natural landscape that matches the words, but right at the end it still leaves me feeling that the point of the poem is that you have to save yourself.
