She breathes

The ancient rock engulfs
unerring breaths; deep
within the clefts and rifts
of humanties heartland itself,
a vascular vixen framed by its
very release as gusts stronger
than the fortitude of conviction
are realized and brought to reckoning.
Mother nature like the elephant in the
room failed to be noticed, swoons at every
unknown touch or pleasure revealed by
the hands of man, perhaps in this brief
ecstacy of satisfaction from their persuits
can she summon such sensual gales
as if to lose count of her breaths and heartbeat,
if only for a second under humankinds sanguine
fingers does she release such matriarchal coes.
those which insist life remain one more day.

You have a really wide vocabulary. Obvious, yes, but I'm just pointing it out. I love how your words give really marvelous meaning to the whole poem itself

    Excellent

You seem to be a humanist and nature lover of the first order, and that is what I really admire about your work. I will have to read more to pick up on your recurring themes, and will take much delight in doing so, as your poems are really original and deep, and are very fascinating indeed.

    squeezed me breathless

I've only been writing poetry for a few months, but I've always loved to write in general. You put such magnificent imagery into your work. I found myself lost in thought with this piece. There is an elegant beauty to this metaphorical piece. Bravo! Once I get my internet turned back on, I plan on reading much of your poetry. I am inspired by what you wrote on your homepage. I make it a point to really think about how I comment someone's work. It's always nice to get praise, but I like to get into much more depth with the way I comment on a poet's hard work. Like you, I also have so much respect and admiration for David Michael's wondrous poetry. Have you ever read some of Blue Rew's work? She is my AP sister, as well as David's.

now I still comment, after all I am an onyx dragon poet, don't know if thats bushleague, but time can be for us or against, for instance, the time it took you to write this work paid off, its amazing, vivid imagery, excellent flow, and fantastic vocabulary. love the symbolism used to describe the connection of the human hearts. Its a great poem, but watching the clock can cause you to miss out on whats around you, i don't want to be mean, i think im a nice guy, i just wanted to say don't misjudge people, favors should be given freely, not with expectations, and then you never know what might happen. I was after all trying to fix my work, so I could get over here as soon as I could. thanks for the comment anyhow, it helped when I was editing.   - Jacen.

you never grieve. no one ever knows your head because you hide behind words--words that are too big to have meaning. nature seems to be your kindred spirit--maybe because you are so close to it....you hardly seem human sometimes....more savage and sublime like a beast. one protected by the nature we call "mother"...elusive....beyond a mortal's reach....
