The Perfect Day

I can't stop smiling. I have butterflies in my stomach that could bring me to my knees. My laughter echos every second of the day. The world just seems so blissful, colorful, calm.


I only stop laughing to take a breath and then I think of you, and I laugh again. I smile again.


I'm never alone when I think of you. Never. I couldn't be even if I wanted to. You're always there, at the front of my mind, holding me, kissing me, loving me.


"Friday I'm in Love"
The words that make me melt. The words that make me fall to my knees and surrender, holding up a white flag that seems to be...oh...I think that's lingerie...


Today, the best day of my life. Your laughter, your smile, your voice, your constant reminders of your love for me, they're the sparkle in my eyes...the reason I hold on.


I know you love me. Your voice tells me so.



I can't stop smiling. Your voice forces me to give up on any other emotion but happiness and passion.


You hold me even though you're so far away...Those four words make me want to cry and drop whatever I'm doing and run to you...I'd give up life to be with you...But today...just hearing your voice, is enough.


Then you tell me..."I'm trying." Those two words make my day, every day. Just knowing...I know you love me.


I love you and I know you love me...you told me so today...









But what about tomorrow?

    You have a gift with words. I had to smile as I read this. I loved the white flag/lingerie bit. very cute. And I loved the bit of doubt that you showed at the end. It gave this a very real feeling. Brilliant write. Keep it up.

    preoww...which means good

    very good write. i enjoyed reading it. although, the last line sounded a bit awkward to me because the poem seems to be about Mike telling you he loves you and the question "but what about tomorrow?" seems to question his love. i dunno...maybe i'm not understanding something. with how i am...i can bet that's it. please clarify so I can stop being confused but yes...that would be the perfect day. it reminds me of my fiancee because we can't see each other every day. keep writing

    my boyfriends name is mike too! this poem reminds me off him too. i love being with him its almost like whenever he comes around my whole world is just so much better thats how you know your in love. amazing poem and i love how i know how that feeling is its good to read stuff that i know how it feels. amazing poem!
