Fajr, first morning prayer

Fajr, first morning prayer

God, I fall on my face this Sunday morning
as cocks and sparrows welcome suns dawning
thanking You, God, for being Good You see
bringing my darling, my dear heart, to me.
For God alone is my greatest passion
as Your Blessings are no passing fashion.
God, who took my loneliness far away
resurrecting my lost feelings to play.
I thank You, Great God, for caring so much
to restore our health with loving touch
and hold pleasure within God's perfection
that transcends youth, wealth and all rejection.
Arising from my humblest first prayer
behind me prays my dear sweet darling there.

Abdult Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari

Such a sweet heart you have, my brother. Yeah, we muslims pray for people we love and I know the way you love your Sahabah. Being thankful and grateful is so good. Such loves can’t be earned easily and I know the value of it.
Thank you for sharing your poem with us and don’t forget me, too, from your duas :-)

    My Father God

I follow to join my Sweet in prayer to you. Where two or more are joined together, you are surely present. And while my supplication may not be as lovely and poetic as my love's, we are indeed joined together...bonded by love...transcending and spanning any miles...closing the gap that stands between us. For you, our God, stand in that gap. You are the foundation for what You have created. I stand with Abdul to thank you for bringing us together. We thank you for the lovely soul that brought me to this site...for if she had never posted Abdul's poetry on her other page, I would have never came here. This is evidence of the web of the finely orchestrated plan you devise. Father...for so long I have prayed that you would send me the man you chose for me...one who would honor me...respect me...love me for the tender spirit which you have placed deep within me...one who would honor my preciousness. I prayed to you begging for a man who fears You...one who puts You at the top of his list of priorities. I am not for sure that Abdul is the man that You have chosen for me...but I do know that he treats me like no man has ever treated me before. I thank You for this. I thank You for putting him in my life for whatever season He may be here. Please speak to me as I try to follow your will. Help me to take this at your pace, not at mine. You are the director of this masterpiece on this stage of life. Help me to pay close attention to the wisdom Abdul has to impart...help me to absorb every bit of what he gives to me...for I know it truly comes from you. Thank you Father...thank you for allowing me to make him happy...and thank you for making my heart sing a song of PURE love. I pray this prayer to you in humble adoration for your power, your grace, and your mercy.

      Darling

Ameen, Ameen, Ameen, which is the ancient Amen, same meaning, so be it, so be it, so be it and Alhumdillilah, which means Praise God.

    Blessed are the humble

    My darlings

    You two are cute
    like sweet love birds
    too beautiful to shoot
    as sweet songs heard.

    For they pray too
    to each coming dawn
    together while rustling anew
    with their morning song.
