Sugar-Coated Deceptions
Why do you trust
Decieved by your lust
Confused by the fuss
Until you feel you will bust
Open with pain and anguish
Pent up never to be released
Never to be spoken aloud
For fear of a jinx
Or the severity
Of hearing those unwanted thoughts
Spoken in a supposed innocent and pure voice
What rolls off this tongue can be pure hatred
To an extent that is unexpected
Like a blade to your throat
Like the calling of death
Your secret self can tell more truth
Before all you heard was sugar coated deceptions
