Death On My B-day

Each day passes
but I remember you well
I sit here thinking
Memories in which I dwell

Tears fall
Off my face
You’ve left me here
You’ve won the race

I can’t catch up
I’m too far back
I’ve lost all hope
I’m so off track

I miss you so
With all my heart
Why did this happen
Why did we part

My days are painful
I’m forced to bare
I can’t forget you
The memories we share.

Thi is a really good poem, I like it. The flow is really nice and so is the rhyme. Good luck in my contest.

A sweet and innocent rendering, Pure in form and simple, pleasant to the eyes and the heart, refreshing really, rather than a piece filled with 50 cent words, you have been able to give such a wonderful insight to love and mourning in few lines and wonderful, simple words, I for one think this piece is quite stellar, shining like a star!!! Well done

Its plain & simple, which adds to the meaning .. The flow is very good and none of the rhymes seem forced, so all in all I'd say you have a pretty good poem here. Some may find it a little to plain but not me .. sometimes saying it as it is can be the best way
