"Ellie"

Bobby had a little girl, she was about the age of three,

a brown hair, blue eyed wonder that they named "Ellie"

Bobbys life's was taken that day by a bad man with a gun,

and stole the heart of his mother ...it was her only son.

The little girl misses her daddy that went away today,

never again to ~Come home~ or see her first school play.

He went out the front door saying "Watch Ellie please"

while rifling through his pockets looking for his keys.

.

Such a sad day for them, for bobby never made it home,

and just how was he to know that in heaven he would roam.

No way now for this dad to see a daughter become a bride,

or a mother that can't hold her tears that won't subside.

 Bobby looked for his wife that night taking a firm stance, 

found her with a so called friend, bobby never had a chance.

He's shot in the back & chest, what a ultimate price to pay,

while the boy claimed self defense, turned and walked away.
