Ribboned Wishes (Chronicles of the Night Witch)

The Dance of the Ribbons, a tradition
Flurry of colors, the ribbons seeking the match of thier possesor
Reds and greens and blue, common as the stars
The single black velvet, black ribbons, alone like the moon
She'll stand before the colors, her powers beyond expansion
They'll reach out to touch the ice queen, wrapped in the night's color
Sending glares over the room, she'll frighten them with the fire filed eyes
Her black ribbons wrapped around her wrist and hands, still quiet

The ballroom alight with colors, dancing people wrapped in each others ribbons
Their eyes glazed over with a petty love, not searching long, hoping for simplicity
The dark queen of the room will wander the floors, dancing with everyone
Though her ribbons shall stay still and many shall leave disappointed
As the room begins to slow, she'll descend into the night,
the moon and stars her only company, the ribbons still against her skin
"Dark queen of the night," A voice calls to her, a light voice
Turning, her eyes fileld with distaste, a hate of those in color

Upon a glance she sees not the colors but pure white
The shimmering ribbons against his skin, the velvet dancing over his body
Starry eyed and speechless she only walks forward, a sensation running under her skin
Their hands touch, the ribbons around their hands twist and tied to one another
Captured in each other eyes, the night shall meet the day in a dance
Pushing the stars away to allow for their chance to be together for now
Hated eyes burning to break the bond, their whispers filled with wicked intent
saying the night and day can never be, can neve rbe together

The dark queen holds tightly to the light, her dark eyes search for her only hope
In one sweeping motion their lips meet, the intertwining magick explodes
Shockwaves created from love, push forward the strength of ages passed
The colors, the wicked intents blown through the shattered windows
Their love surpassing all the darkness of the world, all the hate
Pulling away, their eyes meet in one more glance
Each feels their own world pulling them back, apart to their supposed duties
Fighting they'lltake with them each a piece of the ribbon, a piece of hope

"I'll fight to get to you!" The dark queen shouts in her midnight voice.
"And I'll wait forever for you," He calls back in his hope filled voice
The flurry of colors, engulfing each of them, the end of the fantasy
"Night shall never see day, and day shall never see night." They chorus, taunting
Queen of the night sends her curses to the world as her powers call to break forth
Restraining she cannot destroy the world, for her love would perish as well
For now she watched with fire filled eyes over the world she protects and detest
For her mind shall ever work to break free of the gilded cage she lives in

There are a number of typos and punctuation inconsistencies that I find distract me too much from the content. If you can go through and edit, and then message me with the name of the poem when you've done so, I'll be back to give you a thorough comment on this intriguing piece. Thanks!
