Boards all around me
as the building
was in the middle of remodeling.
The smell of sawdust fills my nose.
I walked along the ground,
stepping over boards as I go.
The creak of the unbending
pressure of my weight.
Walking cautiously, a mansion looms in the distance.
A nineteenth centruy structure stands in the modern world.
A knock at the door and it slowly opens.
A young woman of 25 stands at the door.
"Welcome to the Saint Claire Museum.
The tour will start in five minutes.
Please come in for a haunting good time."
I enter and the door shuts from behind.
The house looks like something out of a Dracula movie.
Red plush curtains hung from the french windows.
Highly expensive statues stood in the halls.
It is like a page out of a Bronte book.
Led down a long hallway into a room.
The room with a victorian style bed.
A nurse hovers over a young girl in childbirth.
Blood, sweat and tears drip from the young girl's forehead.
Screams, horrible screams echo the room and seep into the walls.
Happiness dies into despair filled with a bloodbath.
Wailing sobs ring throughout the house.
A tiny body lies limp in her arms.
Life snatched up by Death.
Destiny's chance stolen,
all that remains is the name Anna Donna.

It sounds like a nightmare and a memory at the same time. I like the line, "Welcome to the Saint Claire Museum." That line really had me wondering what was going to happen in the end. Great work and good luck in the contest
