What Can You Say

Missing image

A candle blowing softly in a breeze

reminds me of a clouded moon trying to

come to grips with the evening news.

Life is taken for granted as it's beauty fades.

time washes away the needs and all

that is left is realitiy.

Can you truthfully say,"I smelled a rose today,

I saw the first sprays of spring, through a

Winter storm?"

Did you give an 'I love you' and mean it

from your heart?

Stopped to say hello, to someone you did not know?

Gave a hug just to someone in need?

Where do you fit in this game of life, are you

playing it to the full, or do you stop every so often,

just to smell the dying of the rose...?

Incredibly poignant and prolific piece you've created here, Tender wolf. This analysis of the true importance in our ever-so-short lives is amazing. You've managed to capture all the little things we take for granted and entwine them with the reality that it only takes a second to notice their significance. Beautifully written from deep inside the heart and it shows! Sorry I'm late on your hoodwinking...I wasn't able to be online yesterday, so I apologize. Much love to you from this Poetic Bandit...

Well, I have stopped to smell roses and given hugs. I always tell the people I love that I love them. I love your analogies.

We should all stop and smell the roses! Life is short to not appreciate all that is in it. You have brought to mind an excellent point. Enjoy life to it's fullest for it may be gone tomorrow. Excellent write so full of emotion. Excellent flow

    Have a wonderful day!

a poke in the eye to the blind..

A very powerful nudge to those who so easily forget.
'Just one second of your time, could mean a whole lifetime to another.'

The three simple words 'I Love You' can be like reading a whole book to the reciever, if spoken with feeling.

A strangers new write, visited and commented on, means the world to them, a simple 'hello' just the same.

And those endearing little 's always create a smile on the face of someone who needs cheering up.

we are all players in the game, it just depends whether you are on the winning side, or sitting on the bench, watching. great write Sis, your Tenderness shows well here.

    words of wisdom

truly spoken, can anyone truly say they did this or even took the time to think until you bring it to our attention, I think many people don't even think about life, and what it truly means. very wise words my friend and thought provoking. MOON

I love this Auntie. It speaks volumes of how we sometimes just merely exist in this life. Not to mention the things we take for granted. A very thought provoking write

Beautiful piece with a reality check tucked in. I loved the first line, so real, and still so beautiful. "Life is taken for granted as it's beauty fades. time washes away the needs and all that is left is reality." "But where do you fit in this game of life,.." I hope I gave the hug where needed and truly felt I love you. Hope you are feeling better today.
